Schiff Hardin Partner Jonathan Friedland will co-chair the Business/Bankruptcy Law Seminar "Buying A Distressed Business:  A Legal Overview" at the 17th Annual CLE by the SEA 2007, July 12 - 14, 2007.  Schiff Hardin Partner Alexis A. Cooper is included in the confirmed faculty.

Now is the time to brush up on Chapter 11!  The next wave of bankruptcies is coming.  Leveraged loan issuances have reached all time highs,and past trends suggest that a sharp increase in default rates is likely over the next few years.  Layered on top of these considerations, of course, are factors such as continued instability in the Middle East; continuing high energy costs; and continued uncertainty about where interest rates are heading.

This year, CLE by the SEA brings together some of the biggest names in the field to serve as the faculty for a three-day forum that will combine traditional panel format with improvisation to inform and entertain.

This track may qualify for 12.0 hours Bankruptcy Specialization or Business Law Specialization or 4.0 hours MCLE per day.
