March 11, 2008
2:00 PM - 6:00 PM ESTSchiff Hardin attorneys Eric L. Barnum, Walter H. Bush, Patricia Brown Holmes, Robert J. Muething, Ronald S. Safer, David H. Williams, and Tamera M. Woodard will speak the "Cautionary Lessons in Ethics and New Challenges to Professionalism for Corporate Counsel" program.
The Georgia Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel and Schiff Hardin LLP have planned a timely and interesting program on ethics and professionalism entitled, "Cautionary Lessons in Ethics and New Challenges to Professionalism for Corporate Counsel," designed to inform you about ethical issues raised in the 2007 Conrad Black case as they relate to corporate counsel defendants in criminal cases. In an additional, brief presentation, ethical issues in representing companies before the IRS will be reviewed. Finally, challenges of maintaining professionalism in a corporate practice in the context of today's social environment will be role-played via a hypothetical with a town hall-type discussion.
The event will be held at Maggiano's Cumberland in Atlanta. To RSVP, contact Lisa Smith at 770.562.5371 or LisaSmith@csosolutions.net. For additional information, please visit http://www.acc.com/php/chapters/index.php?page=71&cal_mode=event&event_id=3188.
