The session will bring together a panel of firms that have aggressively hired lateral talent. The panel will focus on reasons to grow laterally, how to use lateral hires to gain more geographic diversity, and how to pick the right lateral candidates and screen them for compatibility. The panel also will assess the lateral partner movement during 2007, analyze warning signs, discuss how to ensure new lateral hires actually deliver what has been promised, evaluate the need for diversity in lateral hiring, and offer advice on how to make sure your own lateral hiring practices are aligned with your firm's strategic plan.
The summit will be held on July 15 at Hilton Suites Chicago Magnificent Mile from 9:00 am - 5:00 p.m. and will include a luncheon hosted by Mestel & Company.
