For clients with limited in-house counsel resources or where the in-house counsel staff is stretched thin, Schiff Hardin attorneys partner with the business decision-makers to ensure that a company's legal function contributes to the achievement of the company's business goals. In this role, we may:

Draft, review or negotiate business contracts
Assist in structuring, documenting and closing transactions
Design and implement corporate policy statements and procedures
Advise on labor, tax, benefits, real estate, or environmental issues that arise in the regular course of a company's business

In many instances, we also provide expertise addressing unusual corporate law questions or larger, complex transactions, or transactions without precedent. In all cases, we offer timely and cost-effective advice that answers the question asked and, where appropriate, anticipates the question that should have been asked but wasn't.
