A Florida-based telecommunications company expands across the Northeast United States through a significant deal with Sprint Nextel and expanded financing.

Schiff Hardin represented Trinsic, Inc., a leading provider of traditional and IP telephony services in the purchase of a significant number of local access lines and in securing major additional financing.

Trinsic purchased more than 96,000 unbundled network element platform (UNE-P) local access lines, primarily located in the Eastern United States, from Sprint Nextel Corporation. Completing this transaction included successfully navigating regulatory issues.

Concurrent with the Sprint Nextel transaction, Trinsic also significantly revised and expanded its financing facility with Thermo Credit, LLC.
