Jay Williams currently divides his practice between complex civil litigation and the representation of clients in white collar and other criminal defense matters.
His litigation practice is nationwide in scope, involving appearances before state and federal courts across the country, including: Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Texas, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee and California.
Mr. Williams' experience includes all forms of dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration.

Criminal Defense
Mr. Williams has experience both in criminal appellate representation as well as a variety of other white collar and other criminal defense matters.
In connection with his representation of clients either currently under investigation or who have been charged with, or accused of, criminal or other wrongdoing, Mr. Williams has had significant involvement working directly with the U.S. Attorney's Office and the U.S. Department of Justice, as well as various state and federal agencies and prosecuting authorities throughout the country.
Mr. Williams heads the firm's pro bono program related to appeals from the Office of the Illinois State Appellate Defender, which handles the appeals of indigent inmates who have been convicted of serious felonies, are incarcerated and whose cases are on direct appeal.
He also participates in the Howard Area Community Center Legal Clinic, which offers free legal services to low-income residents of Chicago.
