Lori D. Greendorfer

Counsel


Lori D. Greendorfer focuses her practice in intellectual property (IP) litigation, including patent, trademark, trade dress, copyright, and trade secret matters.

In addition, she handles transactional matters in the IP and entertainment areas, including drafting licensing agreements concerning sports technology. Recent patent litigations have involved patents for cosmetics and for business methods for docketing patent and trademark filings.

Ms. Greendorfer also has drafted amicus briefs for the Federal Circuit and U.S. Supreme Court on patent issues on behalf of an international organization of intellectual property lawyers.

With respect to trademark and trade dress matters, Ms. Greendorfer has worked on a variety of cases and licensing agreements in the jewelry industry. She also has litigated matters involving trade secret/confidentiality claims in the financial industry.

She is involved in presentations, business development and marketing activities in the accessories industry, including to the Accessories Council.

Speeches and Presentations

Ms. Greendorfer presented before the Mental Health Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York in June 2006 concerning litigation involving the improper treatment of persons with mental illnesses.

Pro Bono Activities

Ms. Greendorfer has been involved in litigation pending in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York concerning New York State's improper placement in nursing homes of persons with mental illnesses, litigation that has received extensive media coverage.
