Richard M. Liebman concentrates his practice in real estate, real estate financing, leasing and brownfield transactions. His work in these areas includes:
- Extensive experience in negotiating and documenting complex real estate transactions
- Retail commercial lease negotiating experience
- Experience with national broker networks
- Familiarity with new construction issues
Experience
- Represented purchaser in connection with $3 billion purchase of wind turbine facilities consisting of 730 different parcels of real property located in eight different states
- Represented institutional lender in connection with $1 billion loan made to a major Wall Street investment bank evidenced by a credit facility and secured by an assignment of 660 commercial mortgages
- Represented seller in connection with the sale of a New York City office building for $80 million together with all development rights
- Represented a tenant association in connection with the $750 million conversion of an apartment building on the West Side of Manhattan to a condominium
- Represented a major life insurance company in connection with a credit lease loan and multifamily loan program
Pro Bono Activities
Mr. Liebman represented Jewish Education Services of North America (JESNA) on a pro bono basis in connection with lease negotiations for new headquarters in Manhattan.
