Robin E. Remis represents electric power and natural gas utility clients before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), appellate courts and state regulatory commissions. She also advises clients on electric industry restructuring as well as matters related to the operation of ISOs and other regional transmission organizations, including market design and development.
Ms. Remis negotiates energy transactions, including contracts involving traditional as well as renewable energy resources. In addition, she has assisted municipalities seeking to form municipal electric companies and has acted as co-counsel in stranded cost litigation before both state and federal agencies. Earlier in her career, she served as an attorney-advisor at the FERC's Office of Administrative Law Judges.
Ms. Remis is actively involved in various legal and civic groups. This includes service on the Leadership Committee for the international conference, "Cooperation for Energy Independence of Democracies in the 21st Century."
