Schiff Hardin client Dorel Industries, Inc. was honored with the Canadian Deal Maker Award for its acquisition of the Cannondale Bicycle Corporation. Schiff Hardin represented Dorel in this transaction. The awards, which were handed out on February 18, gave particular consideration to the "innovation and perseverance needed by lawyers, bankers and company executives" in these times of economic uncertainty.

The Schiff Hardin team was composed of Bruce P. Weisenthal, with key assistance from attorneys Alex B. Young, Melody R. Barron, John Schietinger, Larry Jacobson, Lauralyn G. Bengel, Chris L. Bollinger, Marina Rabinovich, Ann K. Pikus, Stephen J. Bonebrake, as well as paralegal Paul Bernacki.

This is the second bicycle company deal Schiff Hardin has handled for Dorel Industries Inc. In 2004, Schiff Hardin represented Dorel in its acquisition of Pacific Cycle, Inc.
