American Lawyer announced the results of its first Women in Law Firms Study, with Schiff Hardin ranking 32 out of 210 firms surveyed. Earlier this year,
Minority Law Journal, a subsidiary of
American Lawyer, surveyed AMLAW 200 and NLJ 250 firms for its annual Diversity Scorecard List, in which it expanded its questioning to include information about the number of female attorneys in their US offices. Ranks were determined by analyzing the percentage of women attorneys, along with the percentage of women partners in each firm.
Schiff Hardin is committed to a diverse workplace, which includes recruiting, mentoring, promoting and retaining women attorneys. In 1998, Schiff Hardin also founded the Women's Networking Group (WNG) as a way for women attorneys to get to know our women clients and contacts better. The group also works together to advance professional development for women attorneys and enhance our services to clients.
