Schiff Hardin LLP received a 100% score on the Human Rights Campaign's 2012 Corporate Equality Index, based on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender workplace policies and benefits. This is the second year in a row that Schiff Hardin has achieved a 100% score.
"This honor from the HRC (Human Rights Campaign) is another in a series of national and local recognitions of Schiff Hardin's ongoing commitment to LGBT workplace equality and inclusiveness," said Clay Tillack, chair of Schiff Hardin's LGBT Diversity Subcommittee. "We obviously take tremendous pride in this achievement."
The Corporate Equality Index rankings are based on survey answers provided by the participating organizations and include information about non-discrimination/equal employment opportunity policies; spousal, partner and transgender-inclusive benefits; diversity management and training; and external engagement with the LGBT community.
Schiff Hardin maintains a deep commitment to diversity, and in addition to its perfect score in both the 2011 and 2012 Corporate Equality Index, the firm has been ranked by Equality Illinois as a leading law firm in the state for its achievements in LGBT workplace equality. Schiff Hardin also is well known for its decades of involvement and pro bono work with the LGBT community.
