Schiff Hardin LLP Receives the Lend a Hand Award from the Black Women Lawyers' Association

Schiff Hardin received the "Lend a Hand" award from the Black Women Lawyers' Association of Greater Chicago, Inc. (BWLA) on June 11 at the BWLA's 2008 Board of Directors Installation and Awards Reception.
Schiff Hardin received the award for its exemplary support of BWLA this year. In addition to being the sole Platinum Sponsor of BWLA's 2008 Spring Luncheon, the firm also provided graphic design support for events and hosted BWLA's Scholarship Board meetings. Schiff Hardin has actively supported the work of the BWLA for many years.
Schiff Hardin partner, Tracy A. Campbell, and Schiff Hardin associate, Marla Shade Harris, were installed as Board Member and Recording Secretary, respectively, at the installation ceremony. Schiff Hardin partner, Patricia Brown Holmes, is a past president of BWLA.
BWLA is an organization in its third decade of service, and its purposes are to (1) identify and address issues and concerns unique to African-American women lawyers and judges; (2) improve the administration of justice by increasing the participation of African-American women and other minorities throughout the legal system, (3) advance civil and human rights.
